Hoya Callistophylla Chibi is not a separate species, but a miniature selection within the species Hoya Callistophylla. The species Hoya Callistophylla was described in 1997 and originates from Borneo (Malaysia and Indonesia, including Sabah and Kalimantan). It has leaves with characteristic dark veins. In the ‘Chibi’ form, the leaves are significantly smaller and more rounded compared to the typical callistophylla, also grows slower. The word “Chibi” (ちび) comes from Japanese and literally means “small” or “miniature.”
